Taste of Mexico: The largest Mexican inspired food festival in Austin.

In 2015, I re-introduced the Taste of Mexico food festival into the Mexic-Arte Museum’s annual calendar. After several years of shelving the event in favor of the Catrina Ball gala, 2015 marked a point where the Museum possessed the capacity in staff and resources to host both events. I spearheaded the effort of partnering with local restaurants and food purveyors, organizing event logistics, maintaining a web presence, and crafting the imagery and copy writing about the event. Taste of Mexico was scheduled for the week of Cinco de Mayo to express a lighter side of the museum, mark editorial calendars, and offer a certain cultural authority on a widely misunderstood holiday.
